(AP) Hong Kong police arrested a US lawyer in Hong Kong on Wednesday as part of a widespread crackdown against the pro-democracy movement. John Clancey was taken out of his office in the busy Central business district by uniformed Hong Kong police, and put in an unmarked car, in a video recorded by Citizen News, a local Hong Kong online news agency. Clancey works for Ho Tse Wai and Partners, a practice founded by Albert Ho, a prominent advocate of democracy who also served as Chairman of the Democratic Party of Hong Kong. At 6.30pm Hong Kong time (1030GMT), Clancey was still being held in a police station in the suburb of Tseung Kwan O, according to Albert Ho.
