District Judge Vanessa rejected arguments from Assange's legal team that he was being prosecuted for political reasons or would not receive a fair trial in the United States. But she said his precarious mental health would likely deteriorate further under the conditions of "near total isolation". he would face in US prison. The US government said it would appeal the decision. "We're looking forward to the fight that continues in the High Court, the Supreme Court and the Court of Human rights," WikiLeaks supporter Emmy Butlin said outside the court.
