U.K.'s First Covid Vaccine Recipient Discharged from Hospital

A 90-year-old woman who became the first person in the UK to be given the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine was discharged from hospital on Wednesday. Margaret Keenan was at the front of the line at University Hospital Coventry to receive the vaccine that was approved by British regulators last week. The retired shop clerk, who lives in Coventry but was born in Northern Ireland, had been admitted to the hospital a few days prior to the vaccination. Keenan, who celebrates her 91st birthday next week, was one of about 100 people vaccinated on the first day of the rollout in Coventry.
