Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell remains hopeful lawmakers can pass a coronavirus relief package before Congress adjourns for the holidays. McConnell says that he thinks he has "a sense" of what President Donald Trump would sign into law to help deliver aid to people in need. Earlier proposals were rejected by top leaders. But pressure is building as lawmakers face the prospect of heading home for Christmas and New Year's without any additional legislation. McConnell also did not directly answer a question about why he has been quiet to rebut the president's claims of widespread fraud in the presidential election. "As I've said repeatedly, we have this government for the next three weeks for sure," McConnell said. "The future will take care of itself."
