While Mr Biden is focusing his efforts during the final 48 hours of campaigning in Pennsylvania, Mr Trump is undertaking a whirlwind tour of events. His next stop is Dubuque, Iowa, after a new poll showed he has taken the lead in the key state just days before the election. A Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll shows Mr Trump now leads his rival by seven percentage points, 48 per cent to 41 per cent. The results, based on a poll of 814 voters, suggests Mr Biden has lost support among independent voters in the Midwestern state. A record 90 million Americans have voted early in the US presidential election, as Trump and Biden campaign across the country to try to sway the few remaining undecided voters in one of the most divisive elections in American history.
