LIVE: Rescuers in Turkey Search Through Rubble of Deadly Earthquake’s Aftermath
The parents of a girl missing after a building collapsed following a strong earthquake in Turkey's Izmir province wept as they watched rescuers search through the rubble.
Efforts to find survivors in Bayrakli continued on Saturday following the strong earthquake which struck on Friday morning.
Arzu Taner, mother of missing Asli Taner, said her daughter worked at a dental clinic in the building.
At least 21 people were killed and over 435 were injured, with 364 being discharged from hospitals, according to Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca's social media post.
The 6.6 magnitude quake caused damage across Turkey and the Greek Island of Samos.
