Modi Calls for 'Comprehensive Reforms' at United Nations General Assembly
Indian president Narendra Modi gave a virtual opening speech at this year's socially-distanced 75th United Nations General Assembly, calling for "comprehensive reforms."
"We can not fight great challenges with outdated structures. Without comprehensive reforms, the U.N. faces a crisis of confidence," he said. "In today's interconnected world, we need a reformed multilateralism that reflects today's realities, gives voice to all stakeholders, addresses contemporary challenges and focuses on human welfare."
