A record number of New York voters are expected to vote by mail rather than at polling sites in the November election because of safety concerns during the coronavirus pandemic. It’s the first time in the state’s history that all registered voters will have the option to vote by mail with an absentee ballot for a presidential election, regardless of whether they can make it to the polls Nov. 3 to vote in person.
