Chief Justice Roberts Sworn In to Preside Over Impeachment Trial

Jan.16 -- U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts was sworn in as presiding officer of President Donald Trump's impeachment trial, set to begin Tuesday in the Senate. His oath was administered by Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, president pro tempore of the Senate. Roberts had been summoned to the chamber Thursday to swear in the senators who will serve as jurors in the trial.
