Not a single bullet fired in last 6 days in J&K: Home Ministry denies violence reports

The government has denied news reports of violence in the Kashmir Valley and even put out a video which showed people going about their usual business in various districts of Jammu & Kashmir. J&K Police in a statement urged people not to believe rumours stating no incidents of firing were reported over the last 6 days. Chief Secretary and DGP Jammu & Kashmir clarified that people should not believe any "mischevious and motivated news regarding firing incidents in the valley". The police have not fired a single bullet so far in 6 days. The situation is calm, people are cooperative and restrictins are being relaxed to ease the situation.
