Various of funeral procession STORYLINE: Hundreds of mourners on Monday attended the funeral of a 17-year-old Palestinian who was shot dead by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank. According to Israeli border police, the teenager was shot dead during clashes that broke out after its forces arrested a wanted man in the northern city of Nablus early Monday. The Palestinian Health Ministry said Yazan Shtayyeh was shot in the chest. At the funeral, held in the victim's hometown of Salem, mourners carried his body while others brandished Fatah flags, the political group that administers parts of the occupied territory. “No god except Allah and the martyrs are the beloved of Allah,” some chanted. Violence has flared in the West Bank since the Israel-Hamas war erupted last October. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 466 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since then.
